Freshfields Adds Heather Brookfield as Employee Benefits Partner

Heather Brookfield joined Freshfields as a partner in its US employee benefits and executive compensation practice in Silicon Valley, the firm announced Thursday.

Brookfield represents companies in their compensation and employee benefits matters, the firm said. She advises on mergers and aquisitions, IPOs and other capital markets transactions, the design, drafting and administration of equity-based compensation programs, as well as employment, consulting, retention, severance, change in control, and deferred compensation arrangement.

Addtionally, she advises public and private companies on corporate governance and compliance matters associated with compensation and benefits.
