Fox News Loses Bid for Swift Appeal in Dominion Defamation Case

Fox News Network LLC lost its bid Monday to immediately appeal a court ruling in Delaware ordering the cable news giant to face defamation litigation brought by Dominion Voting Systems Inc. over the network’s alleged role in spreading lies about the 2020 presidential election.

The state’s top court declined to review the ruling by Delaware Superior Court Judge Eric M. Davis, who let the $1.6 billion lawsuit advance in December with allegations that Fox damaged Dominion’s reputation by giving airtime to conspiracy theories spreading false claims that it helped rig the vote.
