Four Firms Guide Investor Group’s $9.5 Billion Deal for Zendesk

At least four law firms are advising in an investor group’s agreement to take San-Francisco headquartered customer service software maker Zendesk, Inc. private for around $9.5 billion.

Fried Frank is serving as M&A counsel to the group of investment companies, which is led by private equity firms Permira and Hellman & Friedman and includes a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC. Fried Frank is also advising Permira on the transaction, expected to close in the fourth quarter, according to a statement.
