Australia’s tax watchdog Tuesday barred for four years the man in charge of PwC’s affiliate in the country at the time of its tax scandal, saying he failed to prevent the leaking of confidential government information.

The Tax Practitioners Board, which regulates tax agents, announced an immediate termination on Thomas Seymour and banned him from registering as a tax agent for four years. Seymour resigned as CEO of PwC Australia in May 2023 after the firm admitted sharing confidential government tax plans to block multinational companies from shifting profits overseas.
