Former Magistrate Judge for District of New Jersey Joins Walsh

Douglas E. Arpert has joined Walsh Pizzi O’Reilly Falanga LLP as counsel in the mediation, arbitration, and special master appointments practice, the firm said Friday.

Arpert previously served as US Magistrate Judge for the District of New Jersey, according to Walsh. He presided over thousands of pretrial matters and facilitated settlements in hundreds of commercial disputes.

Prior to his time on the bench, Arpert served as a managing partner specializing in complex commercial litigation, products liability defense, and the defense of ERISA-based life, health, and disability claims, said the firm.
