Former General Electric GC Holston Joins Paul Weiss as Partner

Michael Holston will join Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison as a partner, the firm said Tuesday.

Holston previously served as the senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of General Electric Co. He retired after leading the company through the recent completion of a three-way split.

At GE for more than six years, he led its global legal, compliance, ethics, and environment, health and safety organizations, the firm said. Holston received more than $8.2 million in total compensation from GE last year, according to a proxy statement.
