Foley Adds Tomkins as Mechanical, Electromechanical Tech Partner

Brian Tomkins joined Foley & Lardner as a partner in its mechanical and electromechanical technologies practice group in New York, the firm announced Wednesday.

Tomkins advises on global intellectual property strategy, due diligence, clearance, litigation, and transactional work such as mergers and acquisitions, licensing, development agreements, and joint ventures, the firm said. He advises clients in the medical devices, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, software, blockchain, and financial services industries.

He also provides strategic counseling on the acquisition, protection, and commercialization of new technologies and product lines.
