Florida’s two US senators are urging the state’s three federal district court chief judges to impose disclosure requirements on foreign interests seeking to fund US lawsuits.
Sens. Marco Rubio and Rick Scott, both Republicans, said third-party litigation financing investments from foreign actors can exert an “exorbitant” amount of influence on the direction of litigation.
