Florida Judge Faces Loss of Law License for ‘Litany’ of Lies

The Florida Bar urged the state’s high court on Wednesday to disbar a former judge who repeatedly lied on campaign finance documents and an application for the bench.

The oral argument focused on whether a consistent pattern of dishonesty by former Miami-Dade Judge Miguel Fernando Mirabal as he sought the bench should lead to disbarment.

“You have this referee’s report that goes through a litany of misconduct over three time periods,” the bar’s lawyer Mark L. Mason said.
