Five Firms Point CD&R’s Take-Private Deal for Focus Financial

At least five law firms are advising in Clayton, Dubilier & Rice’s take-private acquisition of Focus Financial Partners Inc., a partnership of wealth management firms, in an all-cash transaction valued at over $7 billion including debt.

Kirkland & Ellis and Debevoise & Plimpton are advising CD&R on the deal, which calls for the private equity firm to pay $53 per share for New York-based Focus. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter, according to a statement.
