Labor and employment firm Fisher Phillips acquired Atlanta-based boutique Elarbee Thompson, the firms announced Monday.
The 22-lawyer Elarbee team that is now part of Fisher Phillips includes the boutique’s managing partner Brent Wilson. The acquisition took effect Sept. 1 and bring Fisher Phillips’ Atlanta headcount to over 60 attorneys, according to the firms.
“Joining Fisher Phillips gives us access to a powerful international platform and expanded resources while allowing us to continue delivering the sophisticated, responsive service our clients rely on,” Wilson said in a statement.
Elarbee’s practices closely align with Fisher’s client base in industries including public utilities, healthcare, education, construction, mining, manufacturing and distribution, according to the firms.
“Combining with their team is not just about growing our headcount, it is about expanding our reach and capabilities here in Georgia and beyond for our clients,” Terri Stewart, regional managing partner of Fisher’s Atlanta office, said in a statement.
Fisher has offices across the country including Chicago, Dallas and San Diego. The firm has over 700 attorneys.
