Fidelity Preparing to Submit Spot Bitcoin ETF Filing: The Block

Fidelity is expected to submit a filing for a spot Bitcoin ETF, The Block reports, citing an unidentified person familiar with the firm’s plans.

• The asset management giant could submit its filing as soon as Tuesday
• Fidelity declined to comment to The Block
• NOTE: In 2021, Fidelity applied for a spot Bitcoin fund called the Wise Origin Bitcoin Trust but its plan was denied by the SEC in early 2022
