Fertility Centers of Illinois PLLC failed to convince a federal court to dismiss an online tracker suit brought by a former patient who said the clinic operator shared her personal health information with Meta and Google.
She had standing to sue on behalf of a class for the alleged disclosure of her infertility concerns and decision to seek treatment to the tech giants, the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois said Monday. It’s at least plausible, based on her allegations, that the infertility clinic operator violated the state’s eavesdropping statute, Judge Rebecca R. Pallmeyer said.
