American University Dean Fairfax Will Depart for Howard Law (1)

Legal scholar Roger Fairfax has been tapped as the next dean of the Howard University School of Law.

Fairfax, who has served as the dean of the American University Washington College of Law since 2021, will step down from that role at the end of this academic year, according to a Thursday announcement from Vicky M. Wilkins, American’s acting provost and chief academic officer.

He will begin as dean of Howard’s law school on July 1, 2024.
