Ex-Troutman Client Wins Subpoena Order in Malpractice Case Against Firm

A Manhattan litigation boutique has to turn over information to a construction company suing Troutman Pepper Locke in a $59 million malpractice case, a judge ruled Monday.

Holwell Shuster & Goldberg was ordered to produce materials requested by Judlau Consulting in its New York Supreme Court suit against Troutman and partner Frank Cara. Judlau says the firm and Cara engaged in malpractice by advising the company while Cara served as general counsel for competitor Iovino Enterprises.
