Ex-US Attorney Leaves Holland & Knight for Dallas Boutique (1)

A former US Attorney for the Northern District of Texas is leaving Big Law after 20 years to start a criminal defense team at a Dallas-Fort Worth litigation boutique.

Richard B. Roper, who helmed Texas’ Northern District during the George W. Bush administration, was a partner at Thompson & Knight and then Holland & Knight since 2008. Vartabedian Hester & Haynes announced it pulled him away to lead the firm’s new white collar and investigations team.
