Val Dahiya has joined Morrison & Foerster as a partner in the capital markets group in Washington, D.C., the firm said Tuesday.
Dahiya has experience across securities and financial services regulation and compliance of broker-dealers, clearing agencies, securities exchanges, and transfer agents, according to Morrison Foerster. She advises clients on compliance, regulatory, and transactional matters arising under SEC and FINRA jurisdiction.
Dahiya served at the Securities Exchange Commission, holding the titles of branch chief of the division of trading and markets, senior counsel in the office of trading practices, and senior counsel in the office of compliance inspection and examinations, said the firm.
