Eduardo C. Robreno, former district judge for the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, has joined McCarter & English as a partner in Philadelphia, the law firm said Wednesday.
During his time on the bench, Robreno oversaw massive multidistrict litigation over asbestos products and a high-profile lawsuit stemming from sex assault allegations against entertainer Bill Cosby. He presided over more than 100 civil and criminal jury trials and authored more than 3,000 opinions, according to McCarter & English.
Robreno joins the firm’s alternative dispute resolution practice, where he will provide ADR services through arbitration, mediation, special masterships, corporate investigations, and other court-appointed neutral services, said the firm.
