Ex-FTX Legal Chief Bolts From Lowenstein to Morrison Foerster

Ryne Miller, who was the top US lawyer for crypto exchange FTX before its implosion, joined Morrison Foerster as a partner in its New York office, the firm said Wednesday.

Miller jumped to the firm from Lowenstein Sandler, where he was recruited to launch its commodities and derivatives practice 14 months ago. He was a partner at Sullivan & Cromwell before joining Sam Bankman-Fried’s FTX in 2021 as US general counsel.

Trevor Levine, who was counsel at Lowenstein, also joined Morrison Foerster as a partner based in Washington. Levine and Miller will work in the firm’s financial services and fintech ...
