Ex-DHS Acting General Counsel Joins Nixon Peabody in Washington

Joseph Maher has joined Nixon Peabody as a partner in the Washington, D.C., office, the firm said Thursday.

Maher previously served as acting general counsel, principal deputy general counsel, and chief intelligence officer and associate general counsel for regulatory and legislative affairs for the Department of Homeland Security, according to Nixon Peabody.

He has experience advising on cybersecurity, intelligence, international trade, and border security matters, said the firm.
