Buyers of energy tax credits are committing to future purchases, despite fear the Republican-controlled Congress could roll back some of the credits.
More than half of the energy tax credit purchase bids in the last quarter of 2024 included a forward purchase commitment, according to a new report from Crux Climate Inc., a platform that facilitates and tracks transfer deals. That’s increased from 11% of bids including forward commitments in the first quarter of the year and indicates more comfort in the nascent market.
