Eddie Lampert’s Damages Case Declined by Delaware Supreme Court

Billionaire and former CEO of Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores Inc. Eddie Lampert failed to convince the Delaware Supreme Court to take his early appeal in a shareholder lawsuit where he may be on the hook for millions in damages over the pricing of Sears shares.

Justice Abigail M. LeGrow said in a short order Friday that Lampert’s request for an interlocutory appeal over a lower court decision that he must pay an additional $829,000 in damages should be refused because the request was untimely, filed 10 days after the decision.
