Dolby Laboratories Inc. accused the Belgium-based computer visualizations company Barco NV of using its intellectual property to sell competing light steering projector systems used in movie theaters.
Three Barco employees, including an executive, are aware of Dolby’s protected technology after working for the competitor as engineers, according to a complaint filed Friday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Dolby said Barco’s projector systems infringe US Patent Nos. 10,462,437 and 8,733,960.
