Kayci Hines joined McGuireWoods as counsel in its restructuring and insolvency practice group in New York, the firm announced Thursday.
Hines oversaw representation of federal agencies in Chapter 11 environmental and energy insolvencies, including the two largest offshore oil and gas bankruptcies in US history. She advised DOJ and agency officials on other environmental and energy-related bankruptcies and regulatory issues, and represented unsecured creditor committees and large individual creditors in Chapter 11 and 15 bankruptcies, the firm said.
She joins from the Justice Department’s Environment and Natural Resources Division.
