DOJ Appeals Litigator Joins Perkins Coie Amid SCOTUS Turmoil (1)

The Supreme Court is not as “bitterly divided"—at least on a personal level—as its current reputation suggests, according to Michael Huston, who recently wrapped up a five-year stint as assistant to the US Solicitor General.

“In truth, that’s just not the case,” said Huston, who has joined Perkins Coie as partner Washington, the firm announced Wednesday. The justices “really strive to get along well.”

Huston argued nine cases before the high court, working during the Trump administration under solicitor Noel Francisco and later Elizabeth Prelogar, the Biden administration’s top Supreme Court lawyer.
