DLA Piper Taps Federal Aviation Chief Marc Nichols as Partner

Marc Nichols joined DLA Piper as a partner and co-chair of its transportation practice in Washington, the firm announced Tuesday.

Nichols joins from the Federal Aviation Administration, where he served as chief counsel.

At the FAA, Nichols counseled divisions on aviation and aerospace issues, including regulatory compliance and enforcement, litigation, safety and security, legislation, and data collection and management. He also advised on emerging technologies, such as uncrewed aircraft systems and vertical take-off-and-landing aircraft.
