DLA Piper Names Drew as Canada Head, Targets Further Growth

DLA Piper has named Russel Drew as its managing partner in Canada, handing the veteran deal lawyer the task of leading the firm’s growth in a market that’s increasingly being shaped by cross-border transactions.

Drew said the law firm plans to expand selectively in Canada, focusing on higher-value mandates in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets and disputes, alongside sector priorities for the firm including energy and financial services.
