DLA Piper Nabs Private Equity Trio from Winston & Strawn

DLA Piper, one of the world’s largest law firms, is building out its private equity capabilities in New York and beyond, with the hire of James Kelly, Ilya Bubel, and Peter Alfano from Winston & Strawn.

Private Equity Poach: The three will all serve as partners at DLA Piper, with Kelly taking over as head of the firm’s New York private equity practice. Kelly said he was looking forward to taking the team’s work to a firm with a big reach—DLA Piper has offices in more than 40 countries.
