DLA Piper Elects London-Based Severs as Next Managing Partner

DLA Piper elects London-based Charles Severs as its next co-chief executive officer, the law firm announced today.

Severs will serve alongside Frank Ryan, a New York-based partner who was reelected to a second term as co-CEO earlier this year. Severs will officially begin in the role January 2025.

He overcame Paris-based partner Stéphane Lemarchand, who was also vying for the role. Severs, an M&A lawyer, joined the firm in 2003.

Current co-CEO Simon Levine will conclude his term as international managing partner in December 2024 after a decade-long tenure in the role. Levine will become a Strategic Innovation Partner, ...
