Dechert Enhances DC Financial Practice with Ex-SEC Counsel

David Marcinkus joined Dechert LLP as a partner in its financial services group in Washington, DC, the firm announced Tuesday.

Marcinkus’s practice focuses on business development companies and closed-end funds, adding to the firm’s permanent capital and private credit practice. He played a central role in key regulatory initiatives, including closed-end fund and BDC offering reforms, co-investment orders and the fund valuation rule, the firm said.

He joins from the US Securities and Exchange Commission, where he most recently served as counsel to the chairman.
