Debevoise & Plimpton Names Co-Head of National Security Practice

Rick Sofield has joined Debevoise & Plimpton as partner and co-head of the firm’s national security practice in Washington, D.C., the firm said Monday.

Sofield will focus on advising clients on cross-border transactions and investments with national security implications, according to Debevoise & Plimpton.

He has previously served as director of the foreign investment review staff for the national security division of the Department of Justice, said the firm.
