DC Latinos Sue Trump Administration Over ICE Arrests: The Brief

LATINOS in Washington sued the Trump administration today, claiming ICE officers and other federal agents are unlawfully targeting them for immigration arrests without warrants and probable cause, Daniel Seiden reports.

• The plaintiffs are asking the US District Court for the District of Columbia to vacate and set aside a federal government practice that has “sown terror in Latino and other communities.” The complaint alleges that mass immigration stops and arrests of Latinos in DC are the result of “blatant” racial profiling, and that federal agents are making warrantless arrests in DC without making individualized determinations of immigration status.
