Laurence M. Smith has joined Day Pitney as a partner in the corporate and business law department in the New Jersey office, the firm said Wednesday.
Smith’s practice includes mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and venture capital transactions, according to Day Pitney.
He represents automobile dealers in acquisition and sale transactions, floor plan financings, real estate acquisitions and leases, franchise issues, and disputes with auto manufacturers, Day Pitney said.
He previously served as chair of the corporate and securities department at Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC.
