Crowell & Moring is adding Christopher Banks as a partner in the litigation and labor and employment groups in the San Francisco office, the law firm announced Wednesday.
Banks has litigated commercial and labor and employment matters for more than 20 years and tried or arbitrated to verdict a half-dozen cases within the last five years, according to Crowell & Moring.
He was the lead trial counsel for Japanese pharmaceutical company Asahi Kasei Pharma Corp. in a three-month trial that ended with the largest contested jury verdict in the U.S. at that time. Banks helped uphold the judgment on appeal to the California Supreme Court, with Asahi Kasei recovering more than $523 million, according to Crowell & Moring.
Banks attended Georgetown University Law Center for his law degree, George Washington University for his master’s degree, and the University of Nebraska for his undergraduate degree.
