Scott Wise joined Crowell & Moring as a partner in its international trade group in Washington, the firm announced Monday.
Wise’s practice focuses on export controls, economic sanctions, and outbound investment issues with an emphasis on emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and quantum computing. He advises and represents companies on compliance with export control regulations such as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the firm said.
Wise joins from Microsoft, where he was assistant general counsel for global trade.
