Covington Adds Ex-Senate Armed Services General Counsel in DC

Stephanie Barna has joined Covington’s public policy practice in Washington, the firm announced Thursday.

Barna will provide advisory and advocacy support and counseling for policy and political challenges involving aerospace and defense, according to Covington.

She previously served as the general counsel of the Senate Armed Services Committee, the firm said. Barna has also been a legal adviser to three army secretaries in the Office of the Army General Counsel and was appointed principal deputy assistant secretary of defense for manpower and reserve affairs, according to Covington.
