Evan Parness has joined Covington & Burling as a partner in the employment practice group in New York, the firm said Tuesday.
Parness has worked on employment matters such as non-compete litigation, multi-million-dollar discrimination and retaliation lawsuits, founder and executive disputes, whistleblower claims, breach of contract actions, ERISA class actions, and business tort litigation, according to Covington.
He has also led investigations about misconduct matters, provided counsel on employment aspects of M&A deals, and guided employers on compliance with national, state, and local employment laws as well as regulations and litigation avoidance measures, Covington said.
He also clerked for Justice Barry T. Albin of the Supreme Court of New Jersey.
