Mark Simpson has joined Cooley as a partner in the antitrust and competition investigations and disputes practice in the London office, the firm said Friday.
Simpson is experienced with advising on UK and European Union competition law, and has particular expertise in competition litigation, investigations and regulatory challenges, and alternative dispute resolution, according to Cooley.
He has dealt with matters before the English High Court, the Competition Appeal Tribunal, and the European Court of Justice, said the firm.
He was the London head of antitrust and competition at Norton Rose Fulbright.
