Michael Neumeister has joined Cooley as a partner in the firm’s business restructuring practice and global litigation department in Los Angeles, the firm said Tuesday.
Neumeister will support clients in financial distress on a range of matters, including in out-of-court restructurings and as debtors in Chapter 11 cases in California and across Cooley’s global platform, according to the firm.
He also represents secured lenders, debtor-in-possession (DIP) lenders, and buyers in large and small bankruptcy sales, and handles bankruptcy litigation for clients in a variety of industries, the firm said.
He joins from Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
