ConnectOnCall.com to Pay Nearly $5 Million Over Data Breach

ConnectOnCall.com LLC, an after-hours on-call answering service provider, agreed to pay nearly $5 million to settle a class suit stemming from a 2024 data breach.

The settlement agreement submitted Wednesday to the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York for preliminary approval provides class members with dark web and medical data monitoring through CyEx Medical Shield, as well as an option for reimbursement of documented losses up to $5000 or an alternate cash payment.
