College Student Misappropriated Nearly $7 Million, SEC Says (1)

The Securities and Exchange Commission sued a college student from Tulsa, Okla., alleging he raised $7.8 million through two investment funds using false promises, then transferred nearly $7 million to his personal accounts.

Krish Kumar operated Future Fractal Investments LLC and Arcane Resonance Fund LLC while violating federal securities laws and investment adviser regulations, according to a complaint Thursday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma.

The complaint alleges Kumar made false statements about investment strategies, risk limits, and fund performance to attract approximately two dozen investors from January 2024 to February 2025.
