Cleary Gottlieb Adds US Attorney Chris Kavanaugh as Partner

Chris Kavanaugh joined Cleary Gottlieb as a partner in its Americas litigation group in Washington, the firm announced Monday.

Kavanaugh will focus on government and internal investigations and litigation with a focus on national security-related corporate representations, including export control and sanctions matters, the firm said.

He most recently was the US attorney for the Western District of Virginia.
