Citigroup Starts Tracking Private Bankers’ Calls to Clients: FT

Citigroup Inc. has started tracking how many calls its private bankers are making to clients, as part of new performance metrics, Financial Times reported, citing unidentified people familiar with the matter.

Private bankers must submit reports to record each client conversation and what was discussed and have been encouraged to contact each client at least once every 90 days, the report said. The move was ordered by Andy Sieg, who runs the bank’s wealth management division.

A Citi spokesperson told Financial Times that documenting and sharing client feedback is a standard practice within Citi and across the industry.
