A Christian organization defeated a gay woman’s claims that its withdrawal of her customer service representative job offer violated Washington state employment bias law, the Ninth Circuit ruled Tuesday.
Aubry McMahon’s anticipated role at World Vision Inc., a poverty-relief agency, would’ve made her a minister, a unanimous three-judge panel said. It reversed a lower court’s summary judgment in favor of McMahon and remanded for entry of judgment for World Vision.
