Christopher Lacy is the new general counsel for Expand Energy Corp., a company created by Chesapeake Energy Corp.'s acquisition of Southwestern Energy Co.
The former Dewey & LeBoeuf associate was most recently general counsel for Southwestern, whose $7.4 billion sale to Chesapeake closed this week. Chesapeake changed the name of the combined company to Expand.
Lacy left Dewey & LeBoeuf after seven years upon the Big Law firm’s collapse in 2012. He then joined Houston’s Ahmad, Zavitsanos & Anaipakos before moving in-house when Southwestern hired him in 2014.
