Cboe Targets Tech Traders With Mag10 Futures and Options Launch

Cboe Global Markets Inc. will offer traders a new way to bet on mega-cap technology stocks, in a move that could put the exchange operator in more direct competition with crosstown rival CME Group Inc.

The Chicago bourse famous for its VIX volatility gauge is launching futures and options based on the soon-to-be-released Cboe Magnificent 10 Index, a set of stocks that includes Mag7 stalwarts along with Broadcom Inc., Palantir Technologies Inc. and Advanced Micro Devices Inc. Together, the 10 companies make up around 38% of the S&P 500 Index’s market value.
