Carnival Switches Legal Chiefs as it Seeks Pandemic Shutdown End

Carnival Corp.’s longtime legal chief Arnaldo “Arnie” Perez has stepped down, with deputy general counsel Enrique “Rick” Miguez succeeding him, as the company seeks to resume cruises after a shutdown due to Covid-19.

Miguez replaced Perez as legal chief March 1, Carnival CEO Arnold Donald wrote in an internal memo that a company spokesman shared with Bloomberg Law.

Perez will remain with the company as a senior vice president and corporate secretary, Carnival said in a securities filing Wednesday. He’ll “provide a smooth transition” and “see through to completion efforts critical to the corporation,” Donald said in the ...
