The State Bar of California announced Wednesday that it had disbarred 68 attorneys in 2022, which represents a decrease from 2021 and 2020, according to data the bar provided.
The bar’s announcement about 2022 enforcement disclosed the 68 disbarments, as well as suspension or probation for 85 other attorneys. One of the attorneys was disbarred over a felony conviction for elderly/dependent adult abuse, according to the state bar.
In another cited instance, the state bar disbarred an attorney for allegedly participating in a $98 million healthcare fraud scheme.
