Cagney-Founded Figure, Looking Toward IPO, Hires Legal Chief (1)

Figure Technology Solutions Inc., a financial technology company formed and once led by former SoFi Technologies Inc. co-founder Mike Cagney, has recruited Ronald Chillemi to be its chief legal officer and corporate secretary.

Chillemi most recently held a lead legal role at financial advisory startup Aven Financial Inc. He joins Figure after it named a new chief executive officer this year in Michael Tannenbaum, who also once worked at SoFi. Cagney, who left SoFi in 2017 and co-founded Figure the following year, now heads Figure Markets Holdings Inc., a digital asset division carved out of Figure.
