Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft is adding a new player to its market-leading commercial mortgage securitization team, pulling a partner from a firm that stole several of its real estate lawyers earlier this year.
Steven T. Kolyer, a lawyer specializing in commercial real estate securities, left competitor Sidley Austin to join Cadwalader—the firm that has been a leader in the commercial mortgaged-backed securities (CMBS) practice for 25 years straight.
“It’s not every day that a ‘hall of fame’ partner joins an industry-leading practice,” Cadwalader Managing Partner Pat Quinn said in a statement.
